LEDI Modern State of the Arts Public Library Construction Project
LEDI is currently constructing a very large modern state of the arts public library in Gbarnga, Bong County, the Republic of Liberia, West Africa. Our effort is in response to the lack of modern public libraries infrastructure within the country. When constructed, this library will be the first of its kind in the entire history of the country.
This page presents the architectural drawings of the library. When constructed, the library will serve as the university of the poor, a general resource center where the community and the entire country can use to access computer software and hardware literacy program, entrepreneurial and private sector development skills, community and corporate training, books and other reading materials, a general-purpose laboratory for the schools of the county, among others.
Currently, we have not had major funding for this large construction. However, with an unmatched desire and unwavering quest to see this library being built, an array of amazingly compassionate ordinary Liberians and non-Liberians like you, are immensely contributing to this construction to the extent that the walls of the library are significantly up to window level in just two years of our self-help journey of hope, faith, and courage. We believe that we, as ordinary people, can do extraordinary things in the absence of government to impact the development of Liberia. Please join on this journey by donating to our effort.
